Bob Crandall is a ... Bob Crandall is a maverik. He was known for being tough, but he was also fair. Furthermore, when the airlines were deregulated in 1978, American was not in a very health state, but he transformed it into the largest, most feared airline in the U.S. through the 1990's. When computer reservations were introduced, they were used to just keep track of the day to day details of running the airline, but Crandall turned AMR's saber into a weapon by introducing a FF? program, leaving the others behind.
